PLEASE BEAR WITH ME WHILE I’M TAKING MY TIME TO MIGRATE AND UPDATE MY OLD WEBSITE AFTER A LONG TIME! :)
I’m an Azeri-Iranian woman, with over 16 years of professional experience in IT in Europe and Middle East.
In addition to having run my own consulting company for 10 years, I have been working in software localization engineering as well as iOS development across continents, integrating and automating localization workflows, producing several applications on Apple’s AppStore, out of which I’m the most proud of Radio Geek that was a personal project aimed at all people behind the walls of filternet who wanted to have freedom in accessing information beyond those walls.
In addition to my full-time jobs, I’ve done a lot of independent and freelance
language-related work such as translation, transcription, interpretation.
I’ve also taught English and Persian as a second/foreign language in various institutions including Trinity College Dublin, and Sanford Language School, Dublin.
Additionally, I’ve taken a sabbatical in Donegal, by the wild Atlantic to train as an outdoor activity instructor. I’m a qualified climbing and kayaking instructor.
Outside work, you’d find me traveling mostly in my camper van, trying to spend
as much time as possible out in nature, exploring mountains and wildlife,
cycling, flying a kite, kayaking, climbing or Geo-caching, photography; and Couch-surfing.
Attending and winning hackathons, reporting data problems on Google Maps, asking and answering questions on Stack Overflow, listening to music, and helping people on IRC were/are also some of my [past] hobbies.
Not enough? You can read my random blog posts here in Persian/Farsi, or here in English.
